Green Tips

The Green Tips project turns closed landfill sites into Community Woodland, which will become a valuable, well-managed asset for the local area.

As well as planting acres of new woodland on sites across the region (research shows that trees grow really well on ex-landfill areas) Green Tips is helping local people to get the most out of their new facility. Lots of community consultation and tree planting events, new footpaths and cycle routes and wildflower plantings have helped the Green Tips project to meet the needs of hundreds of local people, whilst contributing towards greening the region!
