PRESS RELEASE 2 February 2009 LOVE GROWS ON TREES IN MANCHESTER
Nature lovers in Manchester needn't feel stumped for a Valentine's gift this year. They can now impress the one they love and create a great excuse for a romantic woodland walk by dedicating them their very own tree at local beauty spot Hurst Wood.
Lovers across Greater Manchester are encouraged to give the gift of green this Valentine's Day by dedicating a tree with Red Rose Forest. For just £15 people can dedicate a sapling in one of Red Rose Forest's beautiful woodlands. In return your lucky beau will receive an attractive certificate, personalised with your chosen message, along with maps to guide you to the woodland.
Hurst Wood, along with our other Dedicate a Tree woodlands, provides green spaces for the whole community to enjoy and a place for wildlife to thrive. With the woodlands open to the public all year around what better place for a romantic stroll than where your Valentines Day tree is planted?
Tony Hothersall, Director of Red Rose Forest says: "Dedicating a tree is a fantastic Valentines Day gift. Rather than giving flowers or chocolates, dedicating a tree is a gift with a real future and one that also has an array of environmental benefits. The North West is one of the least woodland landscapes in the whole of Europe, so by dedicating a tree you can help play a role in improving your local environment whilst showing your Valentine how much they mean to you!"
It couldn't be easier to Dedicate a Tree, you can do this on-line at www.dedicateatree.org or you can phone for a leaflet, please call Jess Boyle on 0161 872 1660.
