Forest Front of Mancunia: A live, outdoor pervasive game for all the family
Part of Hazard MMX Saturday 17th July 2010, 1.30pm Halle Square, Manchester Arndale (near All Saints/Urban Outfitters entrance) FREE
Manchester's unique micro-festival of all things bizarre and playful - Hazard MMX - returns for its third mischievous outing and this year plays host to The Forest Front of Mancunia, a live outdoor pervasive game for all the family.
Pervasive gaming is a new form that extends computer gaming into the real world, blending performance and play into a fun and interactive way for all ages to get involved in art and self-expression.
Through an elaborate hunt for a mythical creature who has found themselves lost in the urban jungle of Mancunia, the game is a playful approach to promoting community involvement in and celebration of urban green spaces.
Help the animals of the Forest Front solve their problems, and hope that they might help you to solve yours.
The game starts at the Larkin' About base in Halle Square, Manchester Arndale, and takes place across the city centre. The game is suitable for children and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
