Green Streets uses greening projects to improve the quality of life for urban communities.
From planting street trees to promoting the value of greening as a means of tackling a range of social, health and economic issues, the Green Streets Team has been working with local communities in Greater Manchester since 2001. Each community is different so Green Streets produces a tailor-made greening scheme.
The project aims to improve the standard of living in urban areas by
Creating a lush green back drop to the urban setting
Tackling environmental issues associated with city living
Encouraging community interaction and improving community spirit
Fostering a sense of ownership in communities
Helping to manage climate change
