Governance Red Rose Forest receives operational and strategic direction from two groups, the Partnership and Management Groups. Partnership Group The Partnership Group consists of two elected Members from each of the six Red Rose Forest local authority partners and one elected representative from both the Forestry Commission and Natural England. The chair of the Partnership Group is Cllr Derek Antrobus. The Partnership Group meet at least twice a year and direct Red Rose Forest on major policy and financial issues and help to integrate Red Rose Forest into all activities of the local authorities. Management GroupThe Red Rose Forest Management Group is made up of relevant senior officers from each of the 6 partner local authorities, Natural England, the Forestry Commission and Pennine Edge Forest. It is chaired by Mike Worden from Wigan Council. It steers the strategic direction of Red Rose Forest, monitors the implementation of the Business Plan and agrees its annual roll forward and five-year review. List of Management Group |
